Our vision at Wednesbury Oak is to provide pupils with the experiences to enable them to take their place in the world, make informed choices about their futures and to become responsible citizens.

SMSC, British Values

British Values and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development are of high importance within our school. Personal Development is the golden thread that runs throughout our curriculum and daily lives at Wednesbury Oak. Our curriculum, school values and ethos give our children the aspiration to become kind and respectful citizens. We aim to educate the whole child so they can thrive in an ever-changing world, aspire to be the best versions of themselves and aim high. Our Heart values support our Personal Development offer.

We aim for pupils to conduct themselves politely and respectfully at all times, reflecting on their behaviour and cooperating with others across our whole school community. Opal Play supports pupils playing with others from different year groups and building their independence and team work.

Independence is encouraged from our Nursery upwards, supporting children to gain important life skills to look after their wellbeing, physical and mental health and safety.

We recognise that the primary years are such an important time for children to develop their own identity and aspirations for the future.

We are incredibly proud of the experiences that we provide the children with, who in turn demonstrate how they are deeply proud of our school.
