Local Offer

The Local Authority must publish information on the ‘Local Offer’ providing information for parents in regards to SEND services and agencies within the local area. The purpose of this document is to provide details of specialist support for young children and their families.

Changes to the SEN Code of Practice and supporting young children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities.

On 1 September 2014, the Children and Families Act 2014 introduced a new framework for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The recent changes reflect Ofsted’s agenda in ‘Raising Standards’ in schools across the country.
