Music showcase
Years 3-6 had a brilliant time at the church this morning for their RE and Music showcase. We loved singing, listening to the choir and presenting our RE learning to the other classes. Thank you to Mrs Ferguson and Miss Aveyard for organising the morning and to Mr Cash for coming to perform with our choir

Our Curriculum Implementation
Our Music curriculum takes a holistic approach to music in which performing, listening, composing, the history of music and the inter-related dimensions of music are woven together. In each Music lesson, pupils will actively engage in musical activities drawn from a range of styles and traditions, developing their musical skills and their understanding of how music works. Lessons incorporate a range of teaching strategies from independent tasks to paired and group work as well as improvisation and teacher-led performances.
Children participate in one music lesson a week using the 'Kapow' scheme of work.
To raise the profile of music in school, children’s musical achievements are shared in whole school assemblies; children are given the opportunity to take part in after school clubs, including a choir that takes part in performances in the local community.
