Message from the Headteacher

On behalf of the staff, pupils, parents and governors, I would like to offer you a warm welcome to Wednesbury Oak Academy’s website. I hope it provides a useful insight into the wonderful opportunities our children experience. Opportunities which are designed to help them to develop academic, creative and social skills in order to be able, active and inspired young people. We want to give them a memorable time at school and prepare them to go on to have the best chances in life.

I am very proud to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school where our children are polite, kind and enthusiastic learners. Our children are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Vision

Our vision at Wednesbury Oak is to provide pupils with the experiences to enable them to take their place in the world, make informed choices about their futures and to become responsible citizens.

Our Ethos

We create an environment where children are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Values

Our values, taken from our key drivers, are:

Happy and Confident

Encourage a love of language

Aspire to reach your potential

Resilient and Independent

Tolerance and Respect

Our school has a warm, friendly and dedicated team of teachers and support staff who can all offer valuable advice and assistance to children and families. Positive partnerships with our parents are valued and throughout the year, we share experiences with parents through Praise Assemblies, ‘getting to know the team’ meetings and many other parental events.

Wednesbury Oak Academy has extensive grounds: we have an outdoor classroom, a forest area and plenty of space for the children to enjoy. We are continually developing our outdoor areas.

I hope this website gives you a true flavour of what we have to offer here if you are thinking of Wednesbury Oak as a school for your child. Please come and visit us. Appointments can be made through the school office and we would welcome the opportunity to meet you personally and show you around. A first-hand experience can never be replaced
